Yenipazar Polymetallic Mining Operation Project

The mining area with an IV Group Operating License No. S.72474, located near the Yenipazar town in the Boğazlıyan district of Yozgat Province and known as the “Yenipazar Project” in the mining sector, is one of Türkiye’s significant polymetallic mining sites. The project, which has high potential in terms of strategic metals such as gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc, is considered a long-term sustainable mining investment.

Following the acquisition of the Yenipazar Project by Aldridge in 2006, extensive exploration and drilling activities were carried out in certain sections of the licensed area, revealing the mineral potential in detail and providing significant technical data for the development of the project. As a result of these studies, the Environmental Impact Assessment (“EIA”) Positive Decision was obtained in 2014 for the Polymetallic Mining Operation and Ore Processing Plant, covering 966.29 hectares of the licensed area, successfully completing one of the most important legal and operational milestones for the implementation of the project.

Following the acquisition of Aldridge, which holds the Yenipazar Project in its portfolio, by Netherlands-based Virtus in 2019, the majority shares of Virtus were acquired by CVK Mining in 2024. As a result of this transaction, the management and control of Virtus, and consequently Aldridge, were transferred to CVK Mining. The involvement of CVK Mining in the project, with its strong operational experience and vision, has provided significant momentum to the Yenipazar Project, which had been awaiting transition to the investment phase for an extended period.

Following intensive discussions with national and international financial institutions regarding the financing of the project, a loan agreement amounting to USD 192 million was signed in January 2026 between Aldridge and Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O., with a total maturity of nine years, including a three-year principal repayment grace period. In parallel with this strong financing support, investment preparations at the site have been accelerated to the highest level, and a significant portion of the land payments required for the establishment of the construction site has been completed. At the same time, official contracts have been signed for current status assessments, expanded basic and detailed engineering services, design processes, procurement of major machinery and equipment, and the construction of prefabricated and precast concrete buildings to be established at the site, thereby accelerating operational preparations.

According to the “UMREK-2023 Code Resource Report” prepared in 2024 by the authorities of the National Mineral Reserve and Resource Reporting Commission (UMREK), the licensed area within the scope of the project contains identified mineral resources of 1,211,084 ounces of gold, 40,017,230 ounces of silver, 123,156 tonnes of copper, 401,833 tonnes of lead, and 585,694 tonnes of zinc. The total gold equivalent of the mineral resources stated in the Resource Estimation Report has been calculated at approximately 3,465,066 ounces of gold equivalent (AuEq).

The mineral resources stated in the Resource Estimation Report were identified through exploration and drilling activities conducted on approximately 10% of the total licensed area of 9,239.15 hectares within the project scope. Detailed exploration and drilling activities have not yet been conducted across a significant portion of the licensed area. Studies are ongoing to expand exploration and drilling activities both in previously investigated areas and in new regions in order to evaluate the full potential of the licensed area more comprehensively.
