These principles include reducing water and energy consumption, minimizing land degradation and waste generation, preventing air, water, and soil pollution at mining sites, and successfully carrying out mine closure, reclamation, and rehabilitation activities. This approach will enable mining projects to maintain continuous environmental and socio-economic improvements throughout the entire lifecycle, from mineral exploration to operation and rehabilitation.
